Our Dozer Training Course (RIIMPO323E) is designed to provide students with the essential skills and knowledge required to safely operate a dozer in civil construction, earthmoving, and mining environments. This nationally recognised qualification is ideal for individuals looking to work with dozers for tasks such as clearing land, moving earth, grading, and other site preparation activities.

The RIIMPO323E course focuses on teaching students to operate a dozer safely and efficiently. Participants will learn how to use the dozer for a variety of tasks, including grading, leveling, and material movement, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and best practices. The course combines theoretical learning with practical, hands-on training to ensure students are prepared for real-world worksite conditions.

By the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Operate a Dozer Safely: Understand and implement safe operating procedures, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and safe manoeuvring in various site conditions.
  • Dozer Control and Techniques: Learn to effectively control the dozer’s blade and manage the machine for tasks such as pushing, grading, and material movement with precision.
  • Site Preparation and Grading: Use the dozer to clear land, level surfaces, and prepare sites for construction or roadwork, ensuring optimal grading for drainage and foundation work.
  • Machine Maintenance: Conduct pre-operational checks, monitor the condition of the dozer, and perform basic maintenance tasks to ensure the machine operates safely and efficiently.
  • Worksite Compliance: Apply relevant industry standards and safety regulations, ensuring that operations meet workplace safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

The course typically takes 1 to 4 days, depending on the participant’s previous experience and the depth of training required.

This course is suitable for:

  • Beginners: Individuals new to operating dozers and interested in pursuing a career in civil construction, mining, or earthmoving industries.
  • Experienced Operators: Those with some dozer operation experience seeking to formalise their skills and gain a nationally recognised qualification.

Experienced operators must have a minimum of 60 hours of operating a Dozer within the last twelve months and can be verified by an employer reference.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a Statement of Attainment for the RIIMPO323E unit and Verification of Competency Certificate (VOC), which is nationally recognised and qualifies them to operate dozers in civil construction and related industries.
